The first burn
When burning your wood wick candle keep in the mind the first burn is the most important. Please allow enough time to allow the wax to melt from edge to edge in the container. This ensures the even melting of wax for future burns.
What to do if your candle is tunneling?
An even burn is important to enjoying your candle. If you notice your candle tunneling there are a couple things you can do. First, if the candle will stay lit, allow the candle adequate time to burn to the edges of the container. If the candle will not stay lit, we recommended dabbing the excess wax surrounding the wick with a paper towel.
Air bubbles in your candle?
Soy wax is more sensitive to temperature change than other types of waxes used to make candles. These bubbles will not affect the burn of your candle. The Indy Custom Co. prefers to work with soy for the positive environmental impact and slow burn.
When to discard?
We recommend that you extinguish your candle when there is about 1/4” of wax remaining. .
Why Soy?
All Indy Custom Co. candles are made with soy wax. On top of burning slower and prolonging your candle’s burn time, soy wax is a renewable resource and 100% natural. Many other candles are made with paraffin wax, a petroleum byproduct. This allows for our candles to burn cleanly with less soot.
